She is pictured here, this was back when I had ma ducks which I re-homed to a place with a better pond

I hand raised her from a tiny chick, she was super tame and I even took her to High school a few times.
Chickens can live to be 10-14 years old and she died of natural causes, warm and cozy as a house pet in her old age (my younger girls have a heat lamp warmed hen house).
She just passed this evening.
It is odd that something that has been in my life longer than most my other pets, hell longer than any of my human friends, is no longer with me.
I shall bury her tomorrow in the warm winter sun, in my garden where she used to hunt for bugs.

I know someone who has a white silkie... it chases their dog and tries to sit on its back. They seem to be a very freindly type of hen!
Rip you beautiful fluffy thing! your a lucky bird to have had such a good life
My animals are healthy, but it's only a matter of time before something happens.
