creampuff went missing 3 weeks ago and came back withing 24 hours BUT with a badly broken leg, the humorus was broken and the break was over-lapping and the bone ends split and she had nerve damage that may/may not come back. we went through hell for nearly a week (one week was the deadline to either find a vet to fix it or surender her...BTW the first vet check was $300 for the x-rays and whatnot) to find help and finailly found a non-profit vet to take the case for a mere donation rather than $2000.....

all seemed to be going well, i have had to keep her cooped up, she is in now pain, she is eating the bandage off her foot but is fine...UNTIL NOW as alas it appears blood is seeping through her cast...

i am FREAKED man. is brown and red and seeping through right above the surgery mark.... the clinic we took her to won't be open till monday and this may need urgent care and if no one replies to my message (please PLEASE say they have some staff that comes in between the days who can call me back, even then the surgeon is ONLY there wedensdays!....) we will have to take her to our normal vet who will charge $50 just to LOOK at her...

its 1 am man ...shit.

at moments like this i amlost wish i had surendered her as these last few weeks have been so stressful and i have been so careful with her leg and now she may just lose it anyway....

My prayers will be with her too, expensive as it might be a pet that is well cared for is worth it. So hang on there and at least check out what she has. Maybe the donation doctor will tend her again if its serious? Maybe she can still save her leg.

More that focusing on how you feel, think on how she might be feeling right now, just go an extra mile for now, I hope for the best and once again. My prayers are with you

I will pray for you. I am sorry I cannot give any helpful advice.
When my dog was giving birth she was having trouble with the last puppy. So we took her too the vet tech at western carrer college on Greenback in Orangevale. They were cheaper than a normal vet but it may the same problem cause its the weekend.

guess what...all the vets are on vacation! only a volunteer is there and sh cannot help and canoot get ahold of any one...
we got the bandage changed at the other vet we have been working BUT the vet we trust there is ALSO on vaction and i think the vets there did a lousy job.
gawd i hope it will hold her over until tuesday...
this is so stressful though having to nursemaid her leg!

the vets at the non-profit clinic are on vacation and out of town (a volunteer who cares for the resident cat called me back), so we took her to the first clinic we too her too who in turn lead us to the non-porfit one in the first place and guess what, the vet we trust there is also on vaction and out of town! so her leg got re wrapped by the vet there and i feel they did a lousy job...gawd i hope the new bandage will hold out until tuesday and that her leg does not bleed any more than it is now as they had to re-stich where the pin went in so they said it will still bleed for a while but doesn't that just mean the bandage is going to turn foul before tuesday from the blood? gawd this all so stressfull i am tempted to just give up and hand her over to some one else! but i cannot as i should surender her to the non-profit vet since they did all the work and no one is there! DAMN i wish they had just amputated it! she would have been healed by now and i get a feeling the leg will have to come off in the long run anyway! i am so flustered and frustrated man....
