Artistic liberty commission done under these guidelines

"A cutesy cartoony puppy. No sparkle furry here so more natural colours, the character is male, and something with a daaaaw look (preferably with a big goofyish nose) would be stunning!"

As I brain-stormed with the customer we agreed on trying little black teddy bear type eyes vs typical cartoon eyes seen in fursuits, we decided on long shaggy fur and went for more of a muppet look overall... oh and big ol stompy feet, but you will see those when this is done. Vision is out his big ol nose which is mesh and the mouth is open for some extra ventilation.

So here you have it, something rather unlike anything I have made yet. It was interesting stepping out of my comfort zone, for a while I was worried with the style direction but in the end I think he came out delightfully cute and kid friendly.
