Inspiration struck me last night after my sister and I were talking about all the fun we had with him, preserving our memories of good times and imagining how much fun he would have had along with us at everything we had planned to attend together, such as Fanime anf FC.
Here, our friend is in his favorite cosplay surrounded by some of his favorite things at a heavenly convention, including a stack of manga. When I last spoke with him I learned he was working on reading the manga Berserk, which is a story that has been in production since the 80s and is still coming out with new chapters.
The three of us got along perfectly, we were such the happy little group of nerds, we all liked the same things and with pretty much every visit to our house we'd manage to geek out together over something.
He will continue to be alongside us in spirit with every nerdy adventure we go on <3

He Died a Hero
On July 16th around 10pm my sister and her boyfriend/my good friend and fellow costumer were walking home with my sister's 4 dogs (which were all killed that night)
They were in the cross walk less than a 100 feet from our home when a drunk driver going 80mph down a 35mph residential road, failed to make a turn and plowed through the stop sign on the far side of the intersection... he struck the group and just kept on going, never slowed or stopped.
My sister was in the car's direct path, my friend was directly behind her, he stepped forward and shoved my sister, allowing her to escape with a compound fracture of her leg, ankle damage and flesh wounds... but he took the full force of the blow, loosing his leg, breaking his pelvis and causing severe internal injury... 13 days later my friend lost his life.
he never left the ICU after the hit and run incident. He was due to stay there for weeks, we had been warned he was not out of the woods yet, but he was making progress, he was improving, it had been almost 2 weeks since he was hit... we felt like he was in the clear, and then so very suddenly, he was gone.
My friend was a kind, gentle, jolly person who just naturally knew how to make people happy. He completed my sister's life and brightened mine. The three of us got along so well it felt as if he was family, I expected for him to one day become my brother in law.
He was a person loved by many and he will be dearly missed.
Rest in Peace my friend, you will never be forgotten.
My sister will forever love you and you will forever be my friend.
Did the drunk live?
If he did I would have killed him.
May you and your sister heal.
May Hari rest in piece, and my regards to your sister and his family.
