These cattle dog puppies were born July 10th, 6 days before the tragic hit and run incident that claimed the lives of my sister's boyfriend and her four cattle dogs.

For those of you who do not know what happened: It was a DUI hit and run. The car was going 80 down a 35 residential road, it failed to make a turn, plowed through the stop sign at the far side of the intersection, and then struck them in the crosswalk, killing the dogs instantly and leaving him injured beyond repair... The only reason my sister survived, injured but alive, is because he pushed her out of the way... he died a hero.

You cannot ever replace what my sister lost due to that drunk driver... but Navi and Kiry will hopefully replace some of the heartache with happiness.

PS only my sister would be dog-savvy enough to handle 2 puppies and a broken leg.

They are just gorgeous! Good names, and Australian cattle dogs are fantastic companions. (^_^) I'm so glad your sister is doing so well, you're both so strong! *Hugs!*
