Costume Contest Winners

this float contains the 1st-3rd place winners.

first place are the 2 guys up front
the wolf midna costume was one of the second place winners (us)

there were some string gusts of wind that just about tore the wings off the sailor moon at the back of the float and knocked all of us around pretty good.
and i really liked the 2 girls pink dresses, the one with the red and gold trim is really detailed.
it was really cold that day and most every one on the float was freezing. my sister and i were very happy since we were trapped in fake fur, if it was any warmer we would not of had very much fun.
and i am thinking i won't be wearing this to the sac anime convention in the summer i will wait untill the sac anime that is during the winter as i DO NOT want to wear this in 90-100 degree weather.

i love riding the float, it sure beats walking the 2 mile trip of the cherry blossom festival grand parade up and down the streets of San Francisco, which i did the first year and even in a simple costume i was dead tired. i have actulllay placed in the top 3 (2nd many times, 3rd a few times, 1st once) for 5 years now and i am grateful as it ment i got to ride the float!!!
